WSU Math Corps College Success Center

Building on the philosophy that rests at the foundation of all programs of the Mathematics Pipeline, the Math Corps College Success Center promotes high standards and high expectations and emphasizes that hard work is a necessary part of success. The Center builds a sense of community amongst the students involved and camaraderie is encouraged both inside and outside of the classroom.

Dana Dacres, recent Math Corps Program Coordinator and a former Math Corp student herself, has stepped into the role of Student Support Coordinator for the Success Center. From assisting students as they set their schedule, obtain jobs and secure financial aid to coordinating social events and providing a nudge or friendly ear when needed, Dana works with Math Corps students to do what it takes to succeed in college.

Dana works to help students locate academic assistance in any subject area; however, the Success Center specifically focuses on providing support in Mathematics. A graduate teaching assistant and undergraduate assistants in the Mathematics department provide one-on-one tutoring, workshops and homework sessions.
